Using Folded

13 October 2026 · Luke Woodfield, Queensland, Australia

These terms cover the Folded website, operated by Luke Woodfield in Queensland, Australia. Using the desk means you agree to them.

The desk

Folded lets you write or scan a letter, seal it, and share a private link. The person you send it to can open it without an account. Signing in with Google is optional, and is described in the privacy note.

Your letters

You keep the rights to what you write and to the images you upload. You allow Folded to store that letter and show it to anyone who has the link, which is what sending it does.

Send only what you have the right to send. Don't use Folded to break the law, to harass someone, or to pass on anything harmful. A letter or an account used that way may be removed.

The share link

A letter is reachable only through its link. There is no public gallery. If you share the link, you have shared the letter. Chat apps may show a preview of the sealed envelope. That preview does not include the writing, the scan or a voice note.

You are responsible for who you give the link to.

Accounts

If you sign in, Google provides your name, email and profile picture, and you are responsible for the letters sent from that account. You can sign out at any time.

Folded Plus

A signed-in free account may send three letters a day. Plus may send fifty. A reply inside a thread you already share does not count, and the day resets at midnight in Sydney. Sending while signed out is not counted.

Plus is a subscription of A$5 a month or A$48 a year, in Australian dollars. Stripe takes the payment and may show a converted price in another currency. Folded does not store your card number. You can cancel from the billing portal on your account page. Plus continues until the end of the period already paid.

A price change applies to later periods, not to a period you have already paid for.

The service as it stands

Folded is offered as it stands. Sending can pause if storage is unavailable. Links are meant to keep working, and a letter can still be lost if a host fails. To the extent the law allows, Luke Woodfield is not liable for a lost letter, lost time, or other indirect loss.

Nothing here limits a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited.

Stopping

You can stop using Folded whenever you like. To delete your letters and account, email lukewoodfield1993@gmail.com. Folded may suspend the service, or an account that breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
